I purchased this album yesterday and i was actually surprised. This album is pretty good. Way better than the Meaning and Definition (was that his last official albums?) Wasn't much of a fan of those albums. Boring. No replay value. I'm finding myself having this "Annihilation" on repeat and that's actually rare for a Layzie album lol
The production on this project is pretty nice. I'm feeling it. The mixing and mastering is pretty good as well.
The downside? Layzie's flow gets monotonous and it gets boring quick. He should switch it up and be more versatile. Like what happened to the Layzie Bone that had that fire? To me it sounds like he lost his passion. You can hear it in his flow.
Anyway, i give this album a 7/10 and that's pretty high considering all of Layzie's albums have been 4-5/10 (not including TBN)
P.S. I'm glad the beat for the Migos diss was changed. Way better. The one he put out was garbage!
Thanks for the review Dino. I remember you from way back on the btnhboard so it's good to hear a review from someone who I know has been around for awhile (no offense to the younger fans on here) but based on what you said I might actually check it out now. Haven't been feelin LB for awhile so fingers crossed. On a side note - Am I the only one that thinks Bone solos should always feature the other 4 members (split em up on a few tracks or get all 5 on one) just to show some unity and support. It's a nice surprise that BB and FB are on Layzie's new album but I was thinking there's gotta be a whole bunch of KB WB LB songs in the vault that they could throw on there! what up man! Long time. So did you end up purchasing the album?
Does anyone know if there were any physical copies? This is my first Bone thugs digital album copy.
