It was a Mint 12 Inch Vinyl with the Acc, Inst and the EP song. From 91.3. It's an Old radio station at Stone Hill College. They used to play mad hip hop. Neat find. Paid $10 happily lol. It's rare to see anything OG By bone in person so I was stoked. The cassette you got sounds dope though. I recently made my own mix on a tape a week ago as a fun project. I own Tha Phukkin Clean Version, So I Remastered and reworked the vocals (For a noob lol, No Dr. Dre over here or U-Neek for that matter), because it's a quiet record. I'm really pleased with it. My goal for the last 2 years was make cassette versions of my favorite 3 albums in life. It's because that's how I got them as a kid lol. I remember making my own mixtapes of my favorite Metallica, Mobb Deep and Cypress Hill When they came on the radio. I started at like 5 years old lol. I would KILLLLLLLL to find some of em. Mah probably tossed em a while back smh. Im 27, and to me, I've always been attached to a physical thing such as a record, tape or CD to capture everything about the Art, hell even to recapture some of my memories as a kid walking to school and hopping trains. Till this day, even though I flood my phone and Clip Jam with unecesary amounts of music, I always keep a small CD case in my glove compartment to just ride out to and not keep hitting skip. Kind of Forces you to appreciate the moment and each track. Girls and friends in my whip, "you lemme connect my bluetooth, "Nah Mang, I'm letting this play through lol." Just to clearify I have the cd single...its one of the more rarer Bone items I own. I dont think theres too many out there in good condition...I was pumped to get it. I had the cassette back in the day and I think its lost (but I tend to think its somewhere still in my house) but I see those up on ebay alot more than the cd. The cd of the Phukkin Clean album is like the holy grail for my personal collection. My personal want list consists of pretty much everything from thier ruthless days. All cd’s of albums and singles including imports. I have alot but still need sone singles and a few imports. I saw the Phukkin Clean cd a while back up for like $600...one of these days im hoping to cop it...maybe if I see a good price one day I mite bite but people want $$ for it understandably. I thought about buying the LP just so I could own it, but I really want the cd I need more CD/ Cassette/ 12' Singles too. Sorry for the miscommunication. Kind of random but cool, I had this CD from '97 that was just some hip hop Comp party CD thing and it has Tha Crossroads. It's a tid bit sped up (Like literally the slightest), But the vocals sound a little "peakier." Kind of a neat thing. But yeah the CD is INSANE. A grail for sure. So far for CDs I have their '96 Eternal (the one with Tha Crossroads) I believe it was released during the 2nd half of the year with that B version? I have an actual Clean Version (some recent press) and their first pressing from '96. I like how the colors on the front are different contrasts. Also the Parental Advisory Sticker (Like my Thuggish Single) is really short and wide lol. Oh! I recently bought their Greatest Hits on CD again because the track order reminded me of when I was a kid with a playlist in that order. Not the biggest thing, but some tracks do sound a little bit sharper and are visually different (Nothing too marginal). |
