Dec 4, 2017 19:15:24 GMT via mobile Post by sashabtnh on Dec 4, 2017 19:15:24 GMT SZA - CTRL iv been a massive fan since her ep 'S' and this new album really took it back to that dark place again.Her Voice is absolutely amazing takes my breath away. If you haven't checked it out yet I strongly suggest you do. I know alot of people would say Kendrick Lamars DAMN was the best album of 2017 but I was left feeling as though something was missing from that album. He seemed extremely tired and sang most of his songs and rapped slower and less aggressive than his last album. After hearing The Heart part IV I was expecting a full attack on the mumble rappers but he kind of followed in that trend himself much like Ab - souls "These Days... " But to be fully honest I absolutely loved New Waves and I don't understand the negative reviews from bone thugs fans. I thought it was a great album just wish they kept the Original version of Coming Home.

I was very disappointed with These Days..., I was a big Ab-Soul fan since 2010, his Longterm 2 was one of my favourite projects that year and after that Longterm Mentality & Control System was dope though but I just never got into These Days... much. My favourite project this year is probably "4eva Is A Mighty Long Time" by Big K.R.I.T. ! He's been dropping great projects imo. I wish there was more Bone hooks and that Kray & B had more parts together on "New Waves", then I prefer more old school production but I understand that they went with this type of beats of though, that was kind of the point with the project I guess. "Change The Story" was really good, I didn't like Uncle Murda's verse so much though so I made a solo edit. I liked "Waves" as well and "Ruthless" was nice too! It would be nice to hear some cuts from the album for sure

"trail by fire" by yelawolf, since it got released i got that cd on repeat in my car and it gets better with every spin. Earlier this year i had joey badass album "all amerikkkan badass" on repeat, this project feels like it got nothing but hits on it, very strong album IMO, another album i had on repeat was "acoustic levitation" by devin the dude, perfect album to smoke and just chill to. Other notable artists this year were to me: dizzy wright, rittz, kendrick lamar, big krit, j cole, ofc bone but their music was just to short living to me and maybe i forget someone but thats all i remember right now.

I think mixed final verses from Kray and Biz would have been amazing on new Waves. For example imagine Fantasy with one final verse where Kray and Bizzy take turns ripping it up, instead we got a great song that ends way too soon. Not sure what theother albums were you were referring too. I have a hard time listening to most new rap.
