^no, they would only need the rights if they are profiting off of it. If they just release it there is no reprecussion. I have no problem purchasing music, but if they arent gonna put it out for purchase...then just release it for the fans. Its been over 2 decades...do something with it!! I like what Onyx did...on thier site it has a bunch of unreleased songs...they are free to download, but youare able to pay what you think they’re worth if you choose to. So if the song is trash you dont have to pay...if its a banger, you can pay $20 if you want...if the song sux but you still wanna show support, you can pay a dollar and so forth. The guy who claimed to have Mr Bill Collector wanted 2k for it I believe.. Sleepwalkers idk. I would not hold my breath though. Then yes...if he doesnt have the rights and sells it, THAT is illegal and he is risking a lawsuit. If he chooses to just put it out, they may deal with some backlash, but they cannot be sued because they are not profiting. I was talking more about thier unreleased music as a whole, not just these songs. I think the best time to put out the unreleased stuff from the 90s for maximum profit would’ve been around 2000. But it also would’ve made sense to put it out anywhere from 03-07 because they were in a rut for that long while and the fans were still behind them. Thats over a decade ago! Every year on from 2003 I feel the chances of profit continued to decline. Now its gotten to the point where is it worth it to invest in order to out out the unreleased stuff cuz it seems they are gonna have to pay a great deal to release the stuff. After the investment, how much do they stand to make? I feel its gotten to the point that its not worth selling the music (maybe im wrong) so the only other option is to just put it out for the fans. Why let it sit? Yea they can hold on to it and thier kids can release it, but by that time who is gonna buy it? Whats left of us? The ones that havent passed on by that time and still have thier hearing? Or the new generation that doesnt even know who Bone Thugs is? These days even a new Tupac album isnt gonna bring in big numbers, let along a Bone album.
