Well to keep it 100 I dont think he came out until recently (could be wrong)...I dont think anyone knew when the song came out. I think todays generation is just THAT dumb to think its a good classic song. Layzie’s verse alone in Tha Crossroads almost has as many words as the entire Old Town Road song as a whole!! How much time and skill actually went into the song? It’ll probably get a grammy now too if it hasnt already! Smh...its so rediculous! What is wrong with people? I understand everone deserves an opinion but c’mon...its just getting silly now. I couldn't agree more with this. I've been feeling a disconnect for roughly the past 20 years (in more areas than just music) that these fools are just f**king with me and it's about time to snap outta this nonsense. Just the effort to make innovative music these days is noooo where near impressive. As a school teacher, if I heard a student 20 plus yrs ago say "I want to become a famous musician", I'd possibly say to them, "don't be foolish". But now, I think anyone could do this shit, and I'm nowhere near as dismissive on the idea. That ain't good. Its funny cuz I was just talking about this the other day...but I do feel like I could make a hit song these days...Yea the money would be cool but I wouldnt want the fame of a one hit wonder...id rather be a regular joe shmo. Imagine having the #1 hit one moment and then the next year working at walmart...everyone coming in saying “hey I know you...your that dude, I forget your name but yea that one song u did was pretty cool...your working at walmart now huh😂🤣” I guess it would also be cool to meet some famous people at like the grammys or something (or maybe Bone😊) but its still not worth the shame you’d have to live with for the rest of your life. I cant see this Lil Nas X kid sticking around for long. But who knows...look at Migos. You never know these days. Bottom line is I just cant believe how dumb this song really is and how much recognitions its getting...its so dumbed down and stupid. Just like todays world. It almost sounds like a parody song if anything...like not something to take serious.
