ak God I have made 400 posts Right now I'm Offline I joined February 2018 I've received 141 likes	Question about the Thug Luv prereleases Jan 5, 2020 21:49:48 GMT via mobile souljalilrude561 likes this Post by ak on Jan 5, 2020 21:49:48 GMT So there are 2 different prereleases for Thug Luv Version 1 - Version 2 - My queation is I know there was an Art Of War prerelease tape that got leaked (thats where we got all the prereleases from of course) my question is were both of these prereleases on the tape? I know one of them obviously was...but were both? And if not where did the other one come from? I wish we had the 2nd one bad...I remember when Rob E Rob was talking about releasing the Lost Archives he was asking which version we wanted, and I swear everybody was asking for the 2nd one...but he gave us the first one which is still cool and it was huge to get it...but I think the second one sounds way better My theory is the second one was recorded in the middle of the Lost Archives version and the album version. The fact that Layzie replaces Silk-E-Fine in the 2nd og supports this...they were probably in the process of adding the rest of Bone. Altho the 2nd og is in shit quality, it sounds like it was mastered a little better than the first OG...the drums and gunshots sound more clear. There are some changes to the beat as well (I love how the song comes in on the 2nd OG)...the vocals also sound a bit more clear

I think maybe they put out the 1st one bc Sylk was originally on the song & possibly to keep it original for the Pac fan base as well. Hard to argue against that but I definitely want the 2nd one. I haven’t listened to it in a minute but I will again soon & I thought I remember thinking I could almost hear Bizzy backing Pac’s vocals during his verse like Pac did with him. It was hard to tell given the quality. That’d be awesome. On a side note I’m now pumped to hear a new unreleased/ unheard Art Of War era track that was in the media share section for anyone that didn’t see it. Sounds dope af, Jesus they need to release all this now

The most common tape has the original version of Thug Luv with Sylk E Fine and the version of Family Tree with the released Krayzie Bone verse. The other 2 cassettes contained Handle the Vibe w/ Flesh, Family Tree w/ Krayzie's Drama verse, and Thug Luv w/ Layzie.

I always liked the OG beat better than the album version but when it was released on The Lost Archives the qualoty still wasnt that good...the drums dont hit and the gunshots def dont hit. This version sounds more mastered and sounds like the beat bangs a little better...man I wish we had it
